Leukemia Researcher Brian Druker to Give Trent Lecture
Distinguished cancer researcher Brian Druker, M.D. will deliver the sixth annual Jeffrey M. Trent Lecture in Cancer Research on September 10, 2008 at the National Institutes of Health's Bethesda campus. Dr. Druker is director of the Oregon Health and Science University Cancer Institute where his research led to development of the leukemia drug imatinib, commercially known as Gleevec. His lecture is titled: Imatinib as a Paradigm for Targeted Cancer Therapies.
